Surge is an awesome, free synth that you can use in stand-alone mode or as a VST. We've made some great patches for it that work out of the box with the Nova.

1. Download and install Surge XT: https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/

2. Download the Mosi Patches for Surge XT: Mosi Surge XT Patches v1.zip

3. Unzip and move the all the folders to the Surge user patch folder: Documents/Surge XT/Patches

Note:

- If the "Patches" folder does not exist, just create it in the correct location.

- If you use OneDrive on Windows then use the Documents folder inside OneDrive.

4. Open Surge XT, click in the grey area of the patch browser, then find the Nova patches under the User Patches.

5. Connect the touchpad.

Right click the first macro control in the  and map it to "CC 20". (This is the horizontal motion of the touchpad.)

Now do the same for the 2nd macro control, and map it to "CC 1". (Vertical motion of the touchpad.)

After mapping, the X and Y axis of the Nova's touchpad will morph the synth sound.
