SynthMaster (Mac)

 Difficulty: Easy

This is a simple setup that uses GarageBand and the inexpensive SynthMaster Player synth to give you access to thousands of sounds that work well with the Nova's touchpad.

1. Install SynthMaster Player:

[ Full Version ]  [ Demo Version ]

(If you already have a serial, you can download the demo and enter it to unlock the full version.)

The demo version is identical to the paid version except for the following limitations:

  - Stops working after 30 minutes

  - Fewer factory presets

2. Open GarageBand and create a Software Instrument track.

Now you should be able to play the Nova and hear the notes played on the software instrument. To fully utilize the touchpad though we'll now load up the SynthMaster Player plugin.

3. Hover your mouse over the blue box circled below, and click the arrows that show up. Then select "AU Instruments" > "KV331 Audio" > "SynthMaster 2 Player".

The Nova should now play through SynthMaster Player. Next, configure it to fully unlock all the touchpanel dimensions.

4. Configure SynthMaster for the Nova with the Mosi App (download it here).

Important: Quit GarageBand before running the configuration.

5. Re-open SynthMaster Player in GarageBand (as shown in step 3 above), and verify the configuration worked.
